you had one job
A phrase used to express one's frustration that someone or something has failed at the main or sole task they were responsible for, especially when that task seems very easy or fundamental. A: "Oh no, I forgot the cake!" B: "You had one job, Tiffany!" This curtain doesn't keep any light out at all. It's like, come on, you had one job!
