get into (a bit of) a jam

get into (a bit of) a jam

To be in a troublesome situation. A reflexive pronoun can be used between "get" and "into." I've gotten myself into a bit of a jam—I accidentally made plans with two different men tonight! It's not your fault—we only got into a jam because the hotel gave our room away!
