BTAIM

An initialism of "be that as it may," a set phrase that acknowledges a previous statement as true but ultimately unable to override some fact or sway one's thoughts on the matter. The initialism is used especially in online communications, such as forums, social media, instant messaging, etc. A: "I don't think that's what the OP meant, though." B: "BTAIM, it's an implication of his post, and one worth debunking!"
