stick or twist

A choice between not taking action ("sticking") or making a change ("twisting"). Often issued as an ultimatum. Well, are you going to transfer to a different school, or will you stay here? Stick or twist? A: "I'm getting pretty frustrated at work, but I'm not sure I want to leave yet." B: "I can understand that. It's tough knowing when to stick or twist."
