stick (one's) nose (up) in the air
stick (one's) nose (up) in the air
To assume a haughty, condescending, or disdainful expression or manner. No one in the neighborhood cares for the Smiths. It always seems like they stick their noses in the air whenever they're socializing with us. You're not going to make many friends at your new school if you keep sticking your nose up in the air just because you don't like the same things as them.
