To continue trying one's best, especially in the face of something troubling, challenging, or discouraging. Used especially as an expression of encouragement. I know you're disheartened by the reviews, but keep in there—we all know that you're a brilliant writer! I'm impressed with how she kept in there in the midst of everything else that had happened.
