1. dated To be shot by a bullet or other ballistic. We all kept low to the ground to avoid getting pinked by the enemy fire.
2. dated To be stabbed by a sword, rapier, or other kind of blade used in warfare. The casualties from that battle were extremely high on both sides. If you weren't killed by the gunfire, chances were good you'd end up getting pinked by a bayonet.
3. To be terminated from one's job. Half the company is getting pinked in a desperate measure by upper management to save the business.

To be blamed for or convicted of some crime, transgression, or wrongdoing, especially when one is innocent. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up getting pinned for the murder. If you get caught, you'll get pinned for obstruction of justice as well as perjury.
