2. An initialism of "do your own research," used in cryptocurrency and blockchain communities to encourage new or uninformed people to remain skeptical about and do their own research into a cryptocurrency before investing in it. A: "Do you think this is a good cryptocurrency to start investing in? A lot of people are promoting it." B: "DYOR. There are usually a lot of shills trying to bump the price up by showing off how many coins they have online."
