词组 | have a cadenza |
释义 | ☞ Cadenza is an Italian term for a virtuoso solo passage near the end of a piece of music. This informal sense probably comes from Danny Kaye's humorous 1940s recording 'The Little Fiddle', in which the various instruments of the orchestra are explained in anthropomorphic terms: 'Along came a handsome young trumpet. When he clasps his eyes on the little fiddle his heart went zing. And he gets so excited he has a big cadenza.'
