1. verb To soak or saturate someone or something completely. A noun or pronoun can be used between "wet" and "through." Water from the leaking pipes had wet the floorboards through. The rain had already wet us through by the time we got inside.
2. adjective Completely soaked or saturated. We really need to focus on house training the puppy. This is the third time he's left the carpet wet through! My clothes got wet through out in that storm.
