talking of (someone or something)

With regards to the person or thing just mentioned or being discussed. A: "We need to get the tires checked on the car soon." B: "Talking of cars, there is a great deal on second-hand cars at the dealership down the road." Talking of Mary, we need to fill out her application form soon.

(spoken, especially British English) used for saying that you intend to say more about somebody/something just mentioned: ‘I was out last night with Dave, Mark and Angela...’ ‘Talking of Mark, did he tell you about his latest business idea?’
