To cause, compel, instruct, or direct someone or something to travel forward or outward from some point or place. A noun or pronoun can be used between "send" and "forth." Teams from across the country will send their projects forth for a chance to win the 45th Annual National Science Fair. The group sent me forth to speak to the police officer and explain what we were doing there. Tom sent forth a bone-rattling scream as I pulled the arrow out of his arm.
