To depart (from some place) by riding a vehicle or animal. A noun or pronoun can be used between "ride" and "away." The newlyweds mounted the horse and began riding away, waving to their guests as they made their way to along the beach. The thief used a crowbar to break the lock and simply rode the bicycle away. He said he would wait for me, but then he just hopped on the next bus and rode away!
