draw against (an amount of money)

To withdraw an amount of money that one is expecting but has not yet received. I know we don't get paid until next week, but my car broke down today, so I need to draw against my paycheck.

to withdraw money from something in advance. I can draw against my allowance—at least a small amount. You cannot draw against your salary.
