crapper dick

dated slang A police officer assigned to patrol public bathrooms. Such officers became associated with the practice of monitoring for homosexual activity in places where such practices were illegal. "Crapper" is a slang term for the toilet, while "dick" is a slang term for a detective. A: "What's that cop doing here by the bathrooms?" B: "Oh, he must be a crapper dick."

n. a police officer or detective who patrols public toilets. When he flubbed up the Wilson case, they made him a crapper dick in the central business district.
