When used in the context of a sale or agreement, it implies that there is no guarantee or warranty as to the condition of something after purchase. I don't have time to add anything more to my term paper; I hope it's good enough as is. I bought the car as is from the seller, so I was out of luck when the engine fell apart two days later.
