Origin
Near to theyear 300 B.C. the Roman Republic started the building of long routed andstraight roads, these roadways were considered as one of the reasons behind thestrength of the Roman Empire.
These network of roads consisted of 29 roads which connected 113 provinces of the empire, with Rome at the center. Hence, it was historically true that “all roads lead to Rome.”
