you're/we're a long time dead
you're/we're a long time dead
Our time in this life is very limited, so we should strive to have as enjoyable or fulfilling a life as possible in that time. Some people look at my busy schedule and think I'm mad for not slowing down a bit. But the way I see it, you're a long time dead, so I want to squeeze as much out of every minute as I can. I know you think skydiving is reckless, but we're a long time dead, and it's something I've always wanted to do. A: "You really should stick to the doctor's recommendations, dear." B: "Eh, you're a long time dead! I want a steak and a beer, so that's what I'm having, by Jove!"
