Of some complicated or undesirable situation, to achieve or result in a favorable or acceptable outcome in a natural way without much external effort or intervention. This will all work itself out, you'll see. I'm certain it's a blessing in disguise. I know that things are tense between John and Mary, but hopefully it works itself out.
