Where have you been or what have you been up to since I last saw you? Used to imply that it has been a long time since one saw the other person. A: "Hey, Tom." B: "Hi, Mike, long time no see! Where have you been hiding yourself lately?" A: "Howdy, Sarah. Where you been hiding yourself?" B: "Oh, just busy with work is all."
