The Sco

A nickname for San Francisco, California (based on a shortening of "Frisco," another nickname for the city). I've been living in The Sco for a few years now, and I can't imagine anywhere else I'd like to be. There's a huge tech scene in The Sco at the moment.

But if the SCO people are not dummies, then why exactly have they taken on, simultaneously, the combined might of IBM and tens of millions of IT professionals who are passionately committed to the idea of a free, open source operating system?
In June last year China successfully held the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) Qingdao Summit, during which President Xi Jinping put forward a new vision on development, safety, cooperation, civilization and global governance and summarized the basic connotation of a new type of international relations, charting the course for the SCO's development.
Addressing the 19th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Bishkek, the prime minister suggested the reinforcement of the SCO's vision of cooperation rejecting the confrontation and to advance the imperatives of peaceful co-existence at the regional and international levels.

State Radio reported that a range of decisions will be approved by the leaders of states, besides signing of agreements to intensify cooperation in diverse fields at the SCO meeting.

The 18th SCO Summit held in the coastal city of Qingdao in Shandong province of China in mid-June ended on a promising note with all the member states including Pakistan and India, who were new additions to the organization, unanimously reiterating to uphold the SCO spirit besides re-endorsing the fulfillment of its stated objectives.
The SCO-RATS, based in Tashkent, was established by the member states of the SCO in 2001 to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism.
Inaugurating the conference, Tehmina said the SCO holds special significance for Pakistan.
Nasser Janjua will represent Pakistan in the meeting which will focus on issues including the regional security situation and priority of security cooperation among the SCO members.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO) on Tuesday stated, This is the first ever SCO meeting being held in Pakistan since the country has become a member of the SCO in June 2017.
"The SCO summit will strengthen cooperation in various fields and identify new areas for cooperation," Hajiyev said.
