there's a lot to be said for (something)
There are many positive attributes, advantages, etc., to something. Honestly, there's a lot to be said for living with your parents after college, but, at a certain point, it becomes time to move out. There's a lot to be said for this candidate's education, but I'm not sure he has the experience we're looking for.
