think upon (someone or something)

think upon (someone or something)

To contemplate, ruminate over, or reflect on something. A more old-fashioned way of saying "think on someone or something." I've been thinking upon the issue all week, and I've come up with a few possible solutions. I found myself thinking upon my best friend from elementary school the other day. I wonder what ever happened to him?
