spaghetti junction

spaghetti junction

An interchange at which many roads cross or intertwine. So-named because it is said to resemble a plate of spaghetti, especially when viewed from afar. Can be used as a descriptor of or name for such an interchange. I think I got twisted around at that spaghetti junction—my GPS says I'm going the wrong way now. Spaghetti Junction is always backed up at this time of day.
