squirt out of (something)

1. To eject, flow, or issue forth from some source in one or more forceful spurts. The doctor pulled back the bandage and blood started squirting out of the victim's neck. Water squirted out of the small puncture in the pipe.
2. To cause some liquid to eject or issue forth out of some source in one or more forceful spurts. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "squirt" and "out of" to specify what is being squirted. The bullet-wound victim began squirting blood out of his neck. He squirted some water out of the plastic bottle to cool down the overheating motor.
