reach in

To extend one's hand inside of something. I reached in the drawer to find a charger for my phone. Why don't you reach in and see if you can pull out whatever's blocking the drain?

to stick one's hand into something to grasp something. Bob reached into the cookie jar and found it empty. Bob went to the cookie jar and reached in.
