no horse in this race

no horse in this race

A phrase said when one is not invested in or affected by the outcome of something. I'm not upset that vacation time might be reduced because I have no horse in this race. I'm just a part-time employee, so I don't get paid vacation days as it is. Now that I've stopped practicing medicine, new regulations don't bother me in the slightest—I have no horse in this race anymore.
