put (one) off of (something)
1. To eject or have one ejected from something, often a mode of transportation. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "put" and "off." Thank goodness the pilot had the rowdy passengers put off of the plane. Shh! We're gonna get put off of the train!
2. To make one reluctant or averse to something. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "put" and "off." Hearing about the graphic details of Tom's surgery really put me off of my food. The experience definitely put her off of traveling to Europe again anytime soon.
