1. To kill one. I won't let this cancer put me in the ground. I've still got too much life to live! The boss told us to put that snitch in the ground before he gets a chance to testify in court!
2. To bury one after one dies. We had only just put my father in the ground, and my siblings were already talking about selling the business he built.
