slang An initialism of "long time no see," a greeting used when one encounters someone in an online forum, message board, chat room, etc., after not having interacted with them for a long period of time. Often spelled with lowercase letters. A: "Yo, DIYDaddy1979! LTNS, dude! Thought you'd left the forum years ago." B: "Nah, I'm still around. Mostly a lurker these days."
