make (one) sweat

1. Literally, to cause one to be hot and sweaty. Whew, that great workout this morning really made me sweat.
2. To cause one to be in a state of fear, anxiety, or worry. The very thought of having to get up in front of an audience is making me sweat. The RS has been asking questions about our recent finances, and it's really making the boss sweat.
