1. To eat something as one's midday meal. Stranded in the middle of the forest, we were forced to lunch off any insects or edible roots we could find. There's some ham and cheese that you could lunch off, if you're still hungry.
2. To eat one's midday meal off the top of some surface. We had already packed all our other dishes in preparation for the move, so we were had to lunch off of our fine china for our last meal in the house. We all sat around on the living room floor, casually lunching off the coffee table in the middle of the room.
