jingler
jingler
obsolete slang Someone who writes or speaks in rhymes; a poet or lyricist. I used to be something of a jingler back when I was a young man. With a strum of my guitar, I could craft a song out of thin air. Dismissed by many as just a simple jingler, the poet came to have a prominent role in shaping the newly independent country's politics.
