Used sarcastically to express one's disapproval of or displeasure with someone else's actions. I hope you're happy—you broke my favorite lamp! You just couldn't stop playing with the ball indoors like I asked, could you? Your poor mother is heartbroken that you're not going to college. I hope you're happy.
