1. How are things in your life? How are you? Used as an informal greeting. A: "Hey, Tom! How's everything?" B: "Not too bad, thanks. How are you?" How is everything, Jonah? You seem distracted in class lately.
2. Are you satisfied with everything so far? How is everything, sir? Would you care for another glass of wine? A: "Well, how's everything?" B: "Good! We've almost finished compiling the data set."
3. How is some process or activity proceeding? How's everything with the planning committee, fellas? A: "Well, how is everything so far?" B: "Good! We've almost finished building the prototype."
