gorked out

gorked (out)

1. slang Unconscious, possibly due to sedation. The term likely derives from the initialism "GORK" ("God Only Really Knows"), a notation sometimes used by medical professionals on the chart of a patient who could not be properly diagnosed. The term has been criticized for being unprofessional and insensitive. That patient was gorked when the paramedics brought him in, so no one knows what he took. Keep that patient gorked out for now—he kept trying to hit any nurse that came near him.
2. offensive slang Not exhibiting signs of brain function. That guy's gorked, so the family needs to decide whether or not to leave him on the respirator.
