1. Describing something that has reached a particularly intense level or quality. Used before a noun. Oh, this is a full-on competition now that those two computer whizzes have signed up. I wasn't expecting this to turn into a full-on horror movie!
2. Consuming or requiring all of one's energy or time. Work has been really full-on lately. We just took on a new client, so we've been working extra hours to accommodate them.
3. Physically, mentally, or emotionally exhausting. Are you sure you don't mind looking after the kids for the whole weekend? They can be pretty full-on. Sarah's nice and all, but she's a bit full-on in one-on-one conversations.
