Using a global collection of unique jewellery, Teesside fashionistas were encouraged to go along to a screen test day earlier this month to film
haul video blogs, a recent fashion craze where people post videos online showing off their purchases to a global audience.

A successful haul video can quickly amass hundreds of thousands of views.
There are more than 110,000 haul videos on YouTube, with 60 having received more than 100,000 views.
After the shopping spree, the girls recorded haul videos which were posted on the company website plus Facebook and YouTube.

"Then one day, after I'd been shopping, I said, 'Let me make a
haul video.' And that really clicked." Her AwesomenessTV channel, Tealaxx2, which has nearly 182,000 subscribers, is packed with beauty and style tips, bedroom vanity tours, morning and evening makeup routines, and Sephora purchases.
Where awesomeness rules
A limited number of people will be chosen from the selection day to return to mima on May 19 to wear the jewellery, which is never normally worn, and to film a haul video blog that will broadcast online around the world.

Through this the gallery will be doing a project called #wearmima which will give people the opportunity to film haul video blogs of themselves wearing items chosen from its jewellery collection.

"Haul videos" are online videos created by young women showing off their fashionable finds, many of which have quickly gone viral.
A quick search on YouTube yields nearly half a million haul videos, with several getting millions of views.
They continue to make haul videos as well as offer beauty and fashion advice on their Web site, ElleandBlair.com, in which they tell readers to "think of us as your super savvy big sisters."
