FLK

FLK

An initialism for "funny-looking kid," a term used by some medical professionals as a shorthand descriptor (on medical charts) for a child with facial abnormalities of the kind often associated with some developmental disorders. The term has been criticized for its obvious insensitivity. I'm not defending the term "FLK," I'm just saying that I have encountered it in my medical career.
