Stingy or miserly. Sorry for being so closefisted lately. I just have to be very careful with money until I get my next paycheck. Maybe if the boss weren't so closefisted we could actually work with modern software for a change.

Reluctant to spend money. I'm surprised that Uncle Ed got us such a fancy wedding gift, considering how closefisted he typically is.
