Yellow Peril nickname in Canadian military aviation, the North American “Harvard” CANADA- The nickname “Yellow Peril” is not a disparaging comment on the Harvard, the mainstay of the RCAF flying training program for over two decades, but rather a comment on the perils it offered trainees.
