Saskatchewan grunt noun a dessert of berries and dough on top, as in Nova Scotia, but with saskatoon berries CANADA- Somewhere along the way, apparently out in Nova Scotia, the fruit dish with a dough covering, properly called a cobbler, picked up the name grunt.
