释义 shmo; schmo; schmol
noun
a gullible, hapless fool US, 1943

The loveable and selfless “shmoo” loved to be eaten and tasted like any food desired. A 1938 article in the Reading Eagle revealed that students are Armstrong College used the term “schmo hawk” to refer to a “dopey” person, complicating but not resolving the word’s history.
