释义 | harami noun a shrewd or cunning person; used as a term of abuse it may carry the same sense as “bastard” INDIA From Urdu haram (that which is sacred), hence Urdu harami (a rogue). Collected by Chris Lewis, with anecdotal evidence that it has been in UK since the 1960s. Current in Pakistan and Indian street slang, as is the equivalent but more abusive Urdu term haramzada (a son of wickedness; a BASTARD).
