An alcoholic. Short for "dipsomaniac," meaning one with an uncontrollable desire to drink alcohol. (Dipsa is Greek for "thirst.") Yeah, it wasn't until I went to rehab that I realized how much of a dipso I really was. I just couldn't say no to alcohol.
