concern (oneself) about (someone or something)
To focus one's care or attention on someone or something; to assume a feeling of responsibility for someone or something. Your mother really doesn't need to concern herself about our financial issues—we're perfectly capable of sorting them out on our own. He concerns himself about other people far too much. He needs to focus on his own needs for a while.
