zerk out

slang To go berserk. Used especially in reference to video games. I zerked out too early in the round and didn't end up doing any additional damage during my turn. Each boss zerks out after a certain amount of time, at which point they have increased defense and their attacks land critical hits.

slang Heavily intoxicated from drugs or alcohol, to the point of being insensible or out of control. We tried questioning the man, but he was so zerked out on pills that he couldn't even understand us. Everyone was zerked out of their gourds on wine by the end of the dinner party.
