zerk

1. adjective, slang A shortening of "berserk." Usually used in reference to video games. You get a massive defense bump by going zerk, but the cooldown leaves you very vulnerable. Each boss has a zerk timer, at which point their attacks land critical hits.
2. verb, slang By extension, to go berserk. Their barbarian insta-zerked and wiped out half our squad. I zerked too early in the round and didn't end up doing any additional damage.
