you get (back) what you give

you get (back) what you give

The good fortune and happiness you receive in life is reflective of how generous or magnanimous you are to others. Maybe if you stopped being such a jerk to people, you wouldn't attract so much negativity. You get back what you give, man. I firmly believe that you get what you give in this life, which is why I try to dedicate as much of my free time to charity as I can.
