dime out

slang To report or provide evidence against someone to an authority figure. A noun or pronoun can be used between "dime" and "out." The singer bragged about hunting without a license on stage during a concert, and he was dimed out to the police by his own fans. I know what Sarah did was wrong, but I am certainly not going to be the one to dime her out.
